This is the reason they are called the Green Mountains. Nothing but rain and unbelievable mud. Finally you give up trying to avoid it so now we have been 4 days with soaking shoes and socks.
Despite it all beautiful moments. On a clear day you can see Mt Washington from the fire tower on Stratton Mountain where the concept of the AT was born.

That mud looks awful; why don't you come home and walk Sport Road with me? Arlene, believe it or not, I have thought of you often. The cottage is not the same without you. But what you have done is incredible. It will probably be the highest point on your graph of life when you look back on it, just as Africa was for us. I think it's great the way Greg is with you every step of the way too.
